I got these lovely alphabet cards this summer from Edgewood Farmhouse when I was planning for our first year of homeschool (not a paid ad, just a product I love!). The kids have enjoyed flipping through them a few times but today they found their rightful home on their bedroom wall!
I made this alphabet banner with supplies I found throughout the house- my favorite kind of project.
The banner is made from an old shirt we were going to donate. I cut it to size and laid out the cards to get the spacing right.
Next, I cut small horizontal slits above each card. I stick one clothes pin through each slit, clipping the card in place.
My kids are collectors of sticks, so I ran to the backyard to find one just the right size. I used more scrap fabric to tie the banner to the stick, and voila! Our own alphabet banner.
