Purple swaying in the sky

Spring wind blows through the lower north shore,
purple sways in the sky.
Jacaranda season is here,
a reminder to look up when winter's chill subsides.
Violet looks so
violently beautiful
against the backdrop of a blue sky.
Botany inspiring humanity.
Growing tall and wide,
what once was a tree laid bare for hibernal,
now dances in the wind, dressed with lilac enchantment.
Explosions of purple flowering magic fill the sky.
How long is too long to breathe in the wonder, I wonder?
I fear we don't have long enough.
As Summer gently envelopes the spring,
purple will fall from the sky and coat your shoes.
Look up, my friend - for today lilac sways in the sky.
